The feature runs 24 × 7 and works identically on the Rummy Modern Android APK and the mobile browser version. Once the reset is complete, every active session on other devices is automatically signed out, handing you immediate, exclusive control of your account and your real-money wallet.

How Password Reset Works

Rummy Modern uses a one-time password (OTP) verification model to authenticate you before permitting any credential change. When you tap Forgot Password on the login screen, the server dispatches a six-digit OTP via SMS to your registered +91 mobile number. The OTP is valid for 10 minutes and can only be used once, a tighter window than many Indian gaming platforms, reducing the risk of interception.

After you submit the correct OTP, the server validates it against an encrypted token and opens a secure password creation screen. Your new password is hashed before storage; the old credentials are permanently invalidated at the same instant. All existing login tokens across devices, APK installs, Chrome on mobile, or any cached browser session, are revoked simultaneously, keeping your linked withdrawal methods such as PhonePe, GPay, and UPI protected from unauthorised cashouts.

Password Reset Step by Step

Follow these steps exactly to reset your Rummy Modern password without errors:

  1. Open rummymodernapp.org or launch the Rummy Modern APK and tap Login.
  2. Below the password field, tap Forgot Password?
  3. Enter the +91 mobile number linked to your Rummy Modern account and your KYC documents.
  4. Tap Send OTP. A six-digit code arrives via SMS within 30 seconds. If it does not arrive, tap Resend OTP after 60 seconds, do not request more than three resends or the account is briefly locked for security.
  5. Type the OTP into the verification box and tap Verify.
  6. Create a password of at least 8 characters including one uppercase letter, one number, and one special character (for example, Rummy@2025).
  7. Confirm the password in the second field and tap Reset Password.
  8. Sign in with your mobile number and the new password to confirm the reset was successful.
