Rummy Modern - Responsible Gaming

Rummy Modern responsible gaming: how to set deposit and time limits, recognise problem-gambling warning signs, self-exclude, and reach confidential 18+ support helplines.

Play Within Your Limits

Rummy Modern is designed to be an entertaining skill game, and keeping it that way starts with setting clear personal boundaries before every session. Decide in advance exactly how much money and time you are comfortable spending, and treat that budget as a fixed leisure expense, not a target to recover. Never deposit funds that belong to rent, groceries, EMIs or any essential household need.

A few practical habits make a real difference: play only when you are alert and in a stable mood, avoid topping up your wallet mid-session to chase a loss, and use your phone's screen-time controls alongside Rummy Modern's in-app tools to enforce the limits you set for yourself. If a session stops feeling enjoyable, stop the session, that is always the right call.

Warning Signs of Problem Gambling

Problem gambling develops gradually, and many players do not notice it until finances or relationships are already affected. Common behavioural signals include spending significantly more time or money than intended, feeling restless or irritable when unable to play, lying to family members about how much you play, or neglecting work and daily responsibilities because of gaming sessions.

Financial red flags are equally important to watch for: repeatedly depositing money immediately after a loss, borrowing funds to play, or selling personal belongings to refill your wallet. On an emotional level, look out for mood swings tied directly to wins and losses, persistent preoccupation with planning the next session, or a sense of guilt that you hide from the people close to you. Recognising three or more of these signs is a strong prompt to use the protective tools below and to speak with a professional counsellor.

Deposit, Loss and Time Limits

Rummy Modern gives every registered player access to self-imposed spending and time controls directly inside the app. You can set a daily, weekly or monthly deposit cap that prevents your wallet from being topped up beyond an amount you choose. A separate loss limit lets you define the maximum you are willing to lose within a chosen period; once that threshold is reached, further cash-game entry is paused until the period resets.

Time limits let you specify the maximum number of hours or minutes you want to play per day. When your session reaches that limit, the app will notify you and, depending on the level you choose, restrict further play until the following day. All limits take effect immediately when you set them and require a mandatory cooling-off period before they can be raised, ensuring a moment of reflection before any increase takes hold.

Self-Exclusion and Cool-Off

If you feel you need a stronger break, Rummy Modern offers two escalating options. A cool-off period lets you suspend your account for a short defined window, 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days, during which you cannot log in, deposit or join any game. This is ideal when you sense your play is becoming habitual and you want to reset without permanently closing your account.

Self-exclusion is a longer-term measure that blocks access to your account for a minimum of six months or permanently, depending on your choice. During self-exclusion, your account is fully locked, marketing communications are stopped and you cannot request reinstatement until the chosen period has fully elapsed. Both options are available under Account > Responsible Gaming in the app, and our support team can activate either instantly if you contact them directly. We will never try to dissuade you from using these tools.
